Biography:
My name is Jessica Harland, as many can see from the top of the page. I was born on February 20th in 1998, which means I will be seventeen next month. I have lived in the same city since my family moved here when I was in second grade back in 2005. My family includes my mom, my younger brother, two cats, and a fluffy black puff ball of a dog. For the past ten years, I have had a demon of a cat named Angel (who can be seen in the last of the three photos). She really loves to be as annoying as possible, but only to me since she really doesn't like anyone else. My hobbies tend to include reading as many books as I can get my hands on and writing, mostly poetry. My hair was originally a dark blonde but I have dyed it many times since it has been its natural color. For the longest time, it was a dark red. Recently, I have been trying to get it to be a silvery white, but if that doesn't work out, my backup plan is to just dye all of it a dark purple. Throughout the past year or so, I have been getting very sick and just recently my doctors are finally starting tests to find out why I keep getting so sick. This whole website is used to show some of what I wrote in the Creative Writing class at the high school.
Dedications:
To my family and friends,
for always being there for me, even when you didn't know you were.
and for letting me be there, even if you didn't want anyone there.
To Brett Massey,
who always says that my writing is good even when I believe it isn't
and still tries to encourage me to continue with it.
who I believe can be such a great writer as long as he actually writes.
And to my past and future self,
your writing will always reflect on how you felt at that time, good or
bad, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't write. No matter if you can
find the words or not; keep writing.
